Bill described this experience by comparing it to drinking out of a fire hose. I think I might have gotten too much.
That’s not to say I’m not enjoying myself; it just means I came to the realization of the real challenge of this trip.
The hardest thing about this trip is not the sheer amount of information we are taking in; it’s trying to find one thing to write about in the evenings and eventually one subject to tackle for our large project.
Every stop of the trip today I got a new idea for a story. This double-edged sword is a good thing for a journalist but a hard thing to handle as a journalism student. The time constraints are difficult as well.
On the whole, I am looking forward to drinking as much out of the hose tomorrow as I can.
